Music

 

 

Music has always played a significant part in my life. It has accompanied me while getting through some long hot summers, series of boyfriends, school years, difficult challenges, and tearful beginnings!

 

I will always remember certain songs during certain periods of my life. What a way to be brought back to the "moment" by just hearing the first few notes of an old favorite song!! I remember when I was 3 years old, my mother playing 45s while she cleaned the house...

Downtown will always bring me back to my house in Artesia, my mom dancing and singing as she cleaned daily. It is also at this time of day when the ice cream truck would drive onto our streeet and we would plead for an ice cream!! haha She always bought one for us...

My children have also developed an appreciation for music. They both know just about all the songs to the classic musicals My Fair Lady, The King and I and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. I get such a kick out of that!! haha They have both enjoyed and excelled in choir, something they did not get from me! {I wish!!}

I have an extensive collection of midis and wavs (nearly 400!) and enjoy all of them. I have a few I can't imagine living without! LOL!!
